We are halfway through our vacation. My pictures won't upload from my laptop. It is puzzling but I will post them when I get home.
We enjoyed our last couple days at the beach. The last night we headed out to the local pier then the boys played in the ocean. It was beautiful and the lighting was perfect, the only problem, I didn't have the camera.
We left the beach Friday and took the scenic route to SC. We arrived at our hotel around 9:15 p.m. and ran straight for the swimming pool. It was refreshing!
Saturday I took my middle son and we joined my niece, her husband and my two nephews (my brother's kids) for lunch. I became an aunt at the age of 11 and thoroughly enjoyed my nieces and nephews during my teen years. Seriously, I was the young, fun aunt. I don't feel old but it is surreal to see them all grown up, getting married and out of college. I am not a great auntie yet but I know it is coming, maybe then I will feel old!
My oldest nephew (my sister's oldest) got married last night! His new in-laws have a beautiful home and property. The wedding was at their home and it was hot but so beautiful. The ceremony was short but sweet and focused on Jesus! Instead of a guestbook they hired a company that sets up a photobooth, the kind that takes 4 pictures and prints them out in a bookmark size sheet. They had lots of crazy accessories that you could use to "dress up". Every guest got their pictures taken, a copy of the pictures to take home and then signed the scrapbook next to their picture. So creative! Apparently, it is the "new" thing for weddings.
Tomorrow we leave for GA to visit some friends who are stationed at Fort Benning. My boys are looking forward to seeing a military base.
