Our team of 8 is leaving today for Ethiopia!! I am SO excited. Below is our itinerary.
Saturday, March 16th - Our team flies to Washington D.C. and spends the night.
Sunday, March 17th - We leave D.C. at 11:00 A.M. and fly direct to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Monday, March 18th - We arrive in Addis at 7:30 A.M. local time (11:30 P.M. Sunday night in the central time zone). Drive same day to Awassa area (2-3 hours south of Addis Ababa).
Tuesday, March 19th - We will drive to the Shanto CarePoint/FOVC!!! I cannot wait to see all the children.
Wednesday, March 20th - Sunday, March 24th - We are spending our days at the Shanto CarePoint/FOVC and sleeping each night in Sodo, which is a 30 minute drive from Shanto. We leave Sunday afternoon and drive back to Awassa.
Monday, March 25th - We are taking a day of rest and sightseeing in Awassa.
Tuesday, March 26th - We are spending the day visiting FOVC's Dale site. Again, can't wait to see the Dale children!
Wednesday, March 27th - We are spending 1/2 day at Dale and then driving to Addis Ababa.
Thursday, March 28th - We will be shopping and sightseeing in Addis and fly out late that evening to head home.
Friday, March 29th - We all arrive home with changed hearts :-)
