I am SO excited that this day has arrived. After 2 years and 2 months I will be in Shanto, Ethiopia to see these precious children. When I was there in January 2011 I had no idea how involved I would be 2 years later. These children's pictures have been on my bulletin board for over 18 months. I am excited to hug each and every one of them plus meet many new children who have been added to the program.
When we arrive in Shanto we will be greeted with flowers, singing and LOTS of hugs. These children are so gracious and loving. No doubt they will have a special ceremony planned. 2 years ago they did a play, cultural dancing and welcomed us with their formal coffee ceremony (which includes popcorn).
