I've said it before and I'll say it again, fundraising scares me. I will fully admit that it's a selfish scary. I don't want to fail, it's personal. Don't worry, I realize that I need to get over myself and focus on the end result. I did just that yesterday and launched my latest capital campaign. I am hoping to provide shoes to 150 precious little friends in Ethiopia.
The picture above means SO much to me. I found these shoes on the ground on my first trip to Ethiopia in 2011. When I got the owner a new pair, he cried. Then I cried and my life was changed, seriously changed! In March 2013, I saw that precious boy again and he has grown SO much in 2 years, he needs shoes again. I won't let him down.
$6,000 needs to be raised to provide 300 pairs of shoes for 150 precious children (2 pairs per year, $20 a pair). If you would like to donate a pair please click right HERE and you can see the donation page and a little more explanation. If you don't like to donate online, email me at reachinghiskids@gmail.com for information on how to send in a check. All donations are tax-deductible.
