Yes, I know it's December 17th but this summer/fall were crazy busy and I never posted pictures from our BIG vacation this summer. Since I procrastinated I've decided to pick the best 20 or so pictures to share.
A few years ago I decided that the summer our youngest turned 5, we were going to take a BIG road trip every summer and see the whole United States! In late July, we packed up our little Prius and headed out for a 16 day, 3,944.4 mile journey! We drove through WI, IL, IN, OH, WV, VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, KY, TN and IA. We saw the outer banks of NC, The Space Center in Huntsville, AL and Mammoth Cave, KY. We also attended my nephew's wedding in SC, saw most of my family and visited good friends in IN, OH and GA.
We LOVED driving our Prius because of the gas mileage and it made the trip interesting. We were packed together and overall, it went great! Lots of fun memories. The boys are already asking where we are going next summer. We are thinking of checking out the southwest.

Yep, it was a good old-fashioned family vacation.

ReplyDeleteHahaha! Love the last few lines! So true and funny! I grew up in Maryland. In 4th grade, we went on a cross-country trip and I still reminisce 18 years later. Can't wait till my kids are old enough. I'm totally doing this! My vote for your next trip? Salt Lake City, baby! So much to see in Ut. If you ever make the trip, message me for a personal tour!
