Photo Project for Ethiopia

In January I traveled to Ethiopia. It was an amazing trip. Initially my role on the team was undefined but around day 3 I became the team photographer. I took all the child sponsorship pictures. It was fun! It felt good to have a defined role and know that I was doing something really important. To date 60+ FOVC kids have sponsors. That means the kids can attend school, eat everyday and work toward improving their future.

In 6 days another team will travel to Ethiopia. Unfortunately, I will not be traveling with them but I am sending along a few gifts.

I made photo albums for 3 special children, the little boy we sponsor and 2 special friends I made in January.

I printed over 400 pictures and made a photo album to send to Desalegn, the director of FOVC.

I printed and laminated an 8x10 of this beautiful family. I hope they like it!

I printed 2 copies each of all the sponsorship pictures. My hope is that each child will take one home and the other copy will stay at FOVC.

I am just bursting with ideas for the next time I go to Ethiopia. I hope to return later this year. In the meantime I am praying for this next team, Desalegn, my sponsor child and all the children and staff at FOVC.

I am doing a fundraiser June 9-11. The money raised will go to help dig more wells in this village and surrounding area. I will be blogging more about that in the next couple weeks!
