After my trip last March to visit my little friends in Shanto, Ethiopia, I knew exactly what I needed to do, raise money for shoes. I wrote about why in a post last May. It took a little over a month and enough was raised for all 150 children to receive a pair of shoes, I was thrilled!
At the end of June I spoke to the Mission's Committee at my church and they donated another $7,000 to ensure that the Shanto children would have a 2nd pair of shoes once they had outgrown their first pair and that everyone would have school supplies this year. Once again, I was thrilled!!!
This week I received some updated pictures from FOVC via Children's HopeChest. I am SO excited that the children have new shoes and school supplies. Thanks to all who donated!
