T-6 weeks until our team leaves for Ethiopia! The plane tickets are purchased, it's official!
A HUGE praise was that our tickets were $400 less than I had budgeted. I've been checking tickets weekly for 6 weeks. The price was consistent, around $1800. However, when the travel agent e-mailed me and said $1430, I about fell off my chair. I was SO thankful and it was just another confirmation to me that God is pleased with this venture.
I've also had several people step up and ask to help. I've been able to delegate several items from my to-do list. It's great to get more people involved and I am happy for the help.
The hard part today is that I had a goal. By Feb. 2nd I wanted all 150 children sponsored. However, 85 are sponsored and 65 remain in need. Those 65 children are attending school and money has been raised for their new school uniform BUT there isn't enough funding to feed all the children at school. So at lunchtime the 65 unsponsored children are sent home. I hate that and I am praying daily that God brings along more sponsors. I am promoting on social media and trying to get into a few churches to share my heart and promote sponsorship. Please pray with me.
