Ethiopia or Bust - Update #2

6-1/2 weeks and counting!

Yikes, this trip is just around the corner. I love counting it down because it also coincides with spring, winter is almost done and in Minnesota that is a big deal!

These past few weeks I've had tons of boxes arriving at my door. All the sponsors are sending over care packages for their kids. Each child will receive a letter and pictures from their sponsor, a shirt, 2 pairs of underwear, 2 pens, 2 pencils, a pencil sharpener, a package of sugarless gum, and 2 small items like small toys, hair accessories for the girls, mirrors, combs/brushes, sunglasses or a wind-up non-battery flashlight. I cannot wait for the children to open their packages.

We are still fundraising for the trip. My son and I are at 39% of the total we need. If you feel led to contribute to our trip you can make a tax deductible donation by mailing in a check to Children's HopeChest or making an online payment.
